Cheque presentation ceremony.

MIED capped another fruitful year by organizing its annual cheque presentation ceremonies. For the year 2009, two cheque presentation ceremonies were held to hand out loans amounting to RM 2,690,885.00 to 329 students.

The 8th President's Achievers Award.

The President’s Achievers’ Awards was inaugurated eight years ago to encourage SJK (T) Year Six students to strive towards greater heights in education. It has achieved its objective to a great extent, as reflected in the outstanding results in the annual UPSR examination. The awards augment the efforts of the MIED in its mission to create an educated Indian society, including the Tamil Schools Enhancement Project which aims to improve the dilapidated condition of Tamil schools and assist in the preparation and distribution of teaching aid.

The 9th President's Merit Award

The MIED development plan for secondary education is also inclusive of awards and appreciation for those who attain academic excellence. The President’s Merit Award was inaugurated 9 years ago to recognize Indian students from the higher secondary schools for their outstanding academic performance.
